NEW BOOK! Rev. Kathianne is basing her Sunday talks in this series partly on the new book, "5 Gifts for an Abundant Life -- Create a Consciousness of Wealth," by Diane Harmony. Copies are available in the CSL bookstore. Following
are other some prosperity-related books and websites that I compiled a
few years ago for the fall online empowerment series. To expand your experience
of studying prosperity during these 7 weeks, group members may wish to
choose a book or other resource to work with and then share a review or
some insights from their studying, during the final week of the series.
Dynamic Laws of Prosperity, by Catherine Ponder. This book, and really any by Catherine Ponder, a pioneer Unity Church minister, are great for their down-to-earth yet very practical, doable methods for expanding our mental equivalent and experiencing more abundance on every level of living. Other titles: Open Your Mind to Receive, Prospering Power of Love, Open Your Mind to Prosperity, Prospering Power of Prayer, Secret of Unlimited Prosperity, Dynamic Laws of Prayer. The Game of Life & How to Play It, by Florence Scovill Shinn. Prosperity, by Charles Fillmore. A classic by the co-founder of Unity Church. Spiritual Economics, by Eric Butterworth. This is another one of the “classics”. Butterworth is a well-known Unity minister. The Energy of Money, by Maria Nemeth. I attended a workshop led by Maria last year and it was very inspiring. She talks about plugging our money leaks and being conscious of the energy of not just money but all aspects of our life. Creating Money: Keys to Affluence, by Sanaya Roman and Duane Packer. This is a "channeled" book that I first read in the late 1980s, and I found it to be both practical and spiritually focused. Here's what one reviewer said, from Network Quarterly, October 1997: "Money is one form of abundance that occupies most peoples minds at one time or another. When I read the preface, I discovered this book included channeled information. After reading it, I dont care who wrote it. Its good. It offers a common-sense, spiritualistic approach to creating what you want in your life." My thoughts exactly... You Were Born Rich, by Bob Proctor. I don't remember where I saw this recommended, but I wrote it down some time ago. Anyone read it? Comments? Zenvesting: The Art of Abundance & Managing Money, by Paul H. Sutherland. This book was given as a gift to pledgers in CSL's Stewardship Campaign a few years ago. I have it but honestly haven't read it through yet. Comments on it, anyone? Nine Steps to Financial Success, by Suze Orman. A previous year's pledge gift from CSL, I also haven't made my way through this book either (true confessions of the reading procrastinator). But I figure both this one and Zenvesting are good, since Rev. Kathianne personally selected these to give as gifts to church supporters. WEB SITES Effortless
